Meet the Band

  • Jason Silverman

    Vocals, MC & Coordinator

    Jason founded Hot Mess in summer of 2010, and since that time he has had the pleasure of watching the band grow from one of Boston’s hottest night club acts, to Boston’s #1 Wedding/Special Event Band. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Jason has been a staple in the Boston Music scene since the early 1990’s. A former Boston Music Award nominee, you could regularly hear Jason’s original music played on Rock Stations WAAF, WBCN, WFNX and WHJY. These days Jason specializes in creating the perfect song list for any occasion, and his ability to capture and engage any audience is second to none. His energy on stage is infectious, as is his passion for perfection which lends itself to the bands continued success.

  • Ashley Tucker

    Vocals

    Ashley Tucker is bit of a local celebrity around these parts. Known as “The National Anthem Girl" to Boston Sports fans, Ashley regularly belts it out at Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins events. She also composes and sings her own R&B material, and has been highlighted by Boston Pop Station Mix 104.1 in their Artist Spotlight segment. Her music has been featured on Hit TV series like Fox’s “The Terminator” and ABC Family’s “Twisted”. These days however, Ashley can be found lighting up the Hot Mess stage with her powerhouse vocals and signature swagger. With her soulful blend of Rock, Pop and R&B, Ashley Tucker continues to astound audiences everywhere with every note she sings.

  • Lorenna Gomes

    Vocals

    Lorenna Gomes is an incredibly successful bilingual singer- songwriter & social media influencer based out of Boston Massachusetts. She is known for her Brazilian/American Pop and Dance music and impeccable style. In fact you may recognize her from her hit single "Capitão" which has garnered local, as well as international acclaim. Surrounded by musicians growing up, Lorenna’s natural ability to sing and perform was evident at a very early age, Her ability to speak and sing in Portuguese as well as English, coupled with her unstoppable stage force has made her an instant hit with Hot Mess fans. You just can't help but rush the dance floor when Lorenna hits the stage!

  • Zack Gibs

    Guitar/Vocals

    Zack Gib’s first picked up a guitar at 9 years old and has not put it down since! Attending the Grammy Award winning arts school Douglas Anderson in Jacksonville, Zack was able to meet and learn from many of his guitar heroes (including the great BB King, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi to name a few). In 2018, Zack received a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston where he recently graduated. It was there he met his mentor Tomo Fujita and under his tutelage quickly became a STAND OUT in the local music scene. A staple in the New England Blues & Jazz Festival circuit, Zack now brings his extraordinary style, charisma and presence to the Hot Mess stage! In addition to his ability to ROCK with great panache, Zack’s polished vocals and spiritual connection with his acoustic guitar brings a warmth and intimacy that will transform your cocktail hour, ceremony or any occasion into a memory that your guests will rave about for years to follow.

  • Graham English

    Keyboards/Piano/Vocals

    Graham English is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and jazz-trained keyboard player who specializes in vintage keys, synthesizers, and Hammond B3. He’s an audio expert and the best-selling author of Logic Pro X For Dummies. Graham has shared the stage with rock legends Cheap Trick, and jazz legends like Herbie Hancock, Grover Washington Jr. and James Moody. However, these days you can find Graham tickling the proverbial ivories with legendary Hot Mess Band! The recipient of numerous awards and accolades, Graham is well versed in Classical, Jazz Standards, Pop, Rock, Country, R&B and of course The American Song Book. His versatility and range of skills have provided a memorable, and timeless atmosphere for ceremony’s, cocktail hours and special events.

  • Tim Paul Weiner

    Bass Guitar

    Tim Paul Weiner has spent the last two decades performing, writing and recording music from Los Angeles to Boston. His music has been distributed in Japan, Sweden, Germany, Italy, and the UK and the US. He has a degree in Film Scoring and Bass performance from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and also received his Masters in Modern American Music from the Longy School of Music. Tim’s film compositions have been featured at The Woods Hole and New York Independent Film Festivals respectively. Boasting one of the most blistering slap techniques in rock/funk as well as a real ear for the tasteful groove, it’s safe to say that you will have to pull your guests off the dance floor when Tim Paul lays it down with Hot Mess.

  • Marcus “Cus” Campbell

    Trombone

    Marcus “Cus” Campbell is a trombonist who hails from Boston, Massachusetts and has already made a significant impact online as a versatile and highly skilled trombonist, producer, artist, and composer. A graduate of Berklee College of music, Cus has not only studied with Jazz Legends Wycliffe Gordon and Marshall Gilkes, but has also received praise from artists such as Big Sean, RUSS, Joyner Lucas and many more. Cus’s unique approach to the Trombone has been noted by Disney, who recently featured Cus in Tik Tok campaign to promote the Disney/Pixar movie Soul. And even more recently, Hip Hop Legend Snoop Dog himself introduced Cus’s take on Megan Thee Stallion’s hit song Savage during the Facebook special PEACE OUT 2020! These days, Cus can be found lighting up the stage with HOT MESS as he continues to expand the bounds of the trombone through Pop, Rock, Jazz & Hip-Hop.

  • Jason Kenyon

    Drums / Percussion

    Jason Kenyon is a Boston-based drummer and private instructor. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he has gone on to play with a wide range of artists, including the Grammy Award winning R&B/soul group Tavares. Splitting time between the east and west coasts, Jason also spent several years as a staple in the Seattle music scene working with many platinum selling artist and producers. These days however, Jason’s ear for rhythm and groove lay the foundation for every Hot Mess live performance. He is able to channel a jazz drummer’s dexterity with the heft of a rocker, which allows him to seamlessly transition between any musical genre you can think of. In other words bring your dancing shoes kids…you’re gonna need em!!

  • Connor Jenks

    Saxophone

    A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Connor grew up just outside of Boston and started playing saxophone at the ripe old age of 10. The Massachusetts Association for Jazz Education Central District Festival awarded him the Most Valuable Player four years in a row and he was also recognized at the All-State MAJE Festival for Outstanding Musicianship. At the age of fifteen, he was featured on Walter Beasley’s "Live in The Club" CD and DVD. More recently he taught a Master Class with Gordon Goodwin and was a featured guest in Gordon’s Big Phat Band in Los Angeles. These days Connor integrates a range of genres from pop, rock, soul and jazz while maintaining respect for tradition. However be warned - when it starts to get funky no one's safe when Connor Jenks picks up his horn!

  • John Maguire

    Stage Manager & Chief Sound Engineer

    John (AKA Johnny Mac) started doing live sound as a teenager, where he learned to be "creative" with the tools available to him. Upon receiving his Bachelor's Degree in sound recording, he did an internship at Swing House studios in Los Angeles. Since then, John has worked live sound at numerous convention centers & festivals, as well as toured with several national recording artists. These days, John resides as lead Sound Engineer/Stage Manager for Boston's Multi Award-Winning Hot Mess band.
